On 20 December 2017 the Japanese privacy mark system has changed to the new criteria “JIS Q 15001: 2017 (Personal Information Protection Management System – Requirements) ,” according to change of the Japanese Personal Information Protection Act.

From July 31, 2017, the applicant company will need to apply based on new criteria. In addition, the renewal deadline is July 3, 2020. The transition period of the business owner who apply for renewal will be until July 31, 2020, during which the examination under the current examination criteria will only be accepted once.

We are planning to prepare e-learning materials such as summary of transition and learning point about operation, internal audit, and in-house training.

We also have an English version so that it can be used for educating foreign staff.
